GONE FISHING
It wasn't just his good hair, killer looks and amazing Abs that earned him the nickname, "Rock Jesus" when he made his debut just over a couple of years ago. Trevor Ohlsen was looked upon and is still looked upon as one of those types of artists that don't only come around once in a lifetime but could also single-handledly bring salvation to or at least preserve the essence of a
genre.
He's got the voice of an angel, and what could only be described as an intimite connection with his guitar like we haven't seen since artists like Jimi Hendrix. When the Michigan, US indie rock sensation approaches the microphone you can almost hear a pin drop from the silence than ensues - the calm before the storm, as it were. Trevor writes songs about real life, and that's another aspect of his music that makes him special as an artist. He paints pictures, not just of the world around him - like in "Michigan", his critically acclaimed 2018 single released back in February, but also about the world as a whole - like in his song, "This World Could be Beautiful" (
listen here) which was released back when he made his debut. This is something we haven't seen since artists like Michael Jackson (Heal the World -
listen here).
It's always exciting to get to know what our favorite artists do in their spare time. This week, this is what we found out about Trevor [play video below].
