There have been so many new initiatives and platforms created to help and provide financial support for musicians and entertainers over the past 9 months owing to the significant loss of revenue and opportunities caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. Even with several vaccines being rolled out the world’s economies are still very much shaken and could take a while to fully recover. Patreon is not a new service but in light of the pandemic has become an invaluable tool for many musicians and bands to not just raise money for new projects but also receive donations from fans who would have otherwise supported by buying concert tickets, merch and physical copies of music releases in addition to streaming and downloading online and via mobile device apps. We’ve seen several artists formally announce their first campaigns on the American content monetization platform over the past few months and the numbers are growing. This week, Michigan, US indie pop sensation Trevor Ohlsen announced that he had joined the service and in addition joined a similar service called OnlyFans, a British company which also allows content creators to earn revenue from their content through subscriptions and direct payments from fans. In addition to new and exclusive music releases, Trevor's Patreon campaign also offers fans exclusive access to his new podcast, The Trevor Ohlsen Show, a weekly comedy series which is available to stream on Spotify and popular podcast streaming services. TREVOR OHLSEN AUTUMN 2019 TOUR

Making his debut on his local indie rock music scene only a few years back, Trevor Ohlsen made a name for himself as one of the most exciting and most highly revered emerging solo artists from Michigan this decade with the release of the song, "This World Could Be Beautiful", a song that is still a fan favorite today. He has not only lived up to, but persistently defies the expectations of fans, critics and music industry insiders and labels who have followed very closely and continue to follow every step of the way as his career progresses. His latest full length album, titled "Trevor Ohlsen" was released to critical acclaim back in January, and his latest single, "Lazy Days" which went on to follow suit was released in May. This week Trevor began his autumn 2019 tour. The 10 date tour, with venues in Florida commenced on the 9th of October and is scheduled to end on the 24th. TREVOR OHLSEN AT THE LIGHTS FEST OHIO

What happens when you combine thousands of families, friends and foodies, with live music, dancing, and an eruption of Sky Lanterns?

This week Trevor Ohlsen got to find out and also had the opportunity to blow 4000 unsuspecting music fans away at Lights Fest in Ohio, USA where thousands of friends and families gathered on the 22nd of September at North Ridgeville for live music, entertainment and refreshments. Lights Fest is a recurring event that travels through the US and the UK all year round. GONE FISHING

It wasn't just his good hair, killer looks and amazing Abs that earned him the nickname, "Rock Jesus" when he made his debut just over a couple of years ago. Trevor Ohlsen was looked upon and is still looked upon as one of those types of artists that don't only come around once in a lifetime but could also single-handledly bring salvation to or at least preserve the essence of a genre.

He's got the voice of an angel, and what could only be described as an intimite connection with his guitar like we haven't seen since artists like Jimi Hendrix. When the Michigan, US indie rock sensation approaches the microphone you can almost hear a pin drop from the silence than ensues - the calm before the storm, as it were. Trevor writes songs about real life, and that's another aspect of his music that makes him special as an artist. He paints pictures, not just of the world around him - like in "Michigan", his critically acclaimed 2018 single released back in February, but also about the world as a whole - like in his song, "This World Could be Beautiful" (listen here) which was released back when he made his debut. This is something we haven't seen since artists like Michael Jackson (Heal the World - listen here).
